Low Chesterhope Farm
A Northumbrian Success Story
Low Chesterhope Farm has been under the care of Dave and Annabel since 2016. 600 acres of upland land with 650 ewes and a herd of 70 Luing cows. The land is farmed with the environment in mind whilst always looking to ensure a profitable business, which can be difficult in these ever changing times. They are proud of what is produced on this hardy land and more than happy to answer any questions you have whilst staying here.
First Generation Farmers Dave and Annabel Stanners have certainly set the standard for high quality produce.
Low Chesterhope's Produce is as 100% British as you can get.
High Health
Low Chesterhope Farm is Red Tractor Assured meaning we meet essential criteria which ensures our animals and everything we do is at the highest standard. Our cattle are also in a high health scheme as we want to ensure our pedigree Luing cattle are disease free and teh healthiest they can be for now and for their offspring. Dave and Annabel attend various meetings to help ensure agriculture and food production is kept on the agenda and Dave is on the Livestock board for the NFU.
On the farm we also keep a few hens who happily wander around as well as some traditional saddleback cross pigs. You may also come across our Shetland pony (Stottie) and our young donkey (Corona).
Don't just take our word for it...
