JUNE 2023 | When Robson Green Popped Round...

“On the morning of 17th May my phone rang with an unknown mobile number. I had my friends staying with us in there caravan on our driveway as it was our friends mothers special birthday so she was staying in the carriage. It was Zoila (Robson Greens partner) and she was asking if she and Robson could come to have a look around the carriage as she had been keeping an eye on Wannies Retreat Facebook page! “”Erm yes of course” I replied, sounding pretty stunned! I immediately went outside and asked my friend if his mother would mind if Robson took a look around the carriage?

Well, she was over the moon and frantically got out of the hot tub to tidy up. When Robson and Zoila saw the carriage they loved it and said it would be perfect for the new season of Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes and could they book a stay on 5th June? Amazingly we had that date blocked off as we were going on our annual family holiday on the 7th so I wanted some time to get everything ready, fate or what?

Robson arrived on the 5th with Angie Lonsdale and the crew and I can honestly say they could not have been nicer. Robson and Angie made perfume on the viewing platform with perfumist Scentica Studio whilst we watched on. Finlay and Isabel really enjoyed it and the drone was up in the air taking lots of shots. I was asked to do some filming inside with Robson and Angie. As most of you will know I can talk no problem but with a huge black camera watching I must admit I found it rather difficult, again though the whole crew were fabulous and put me at ease. We have been in the local papers with this story which is fab coverage and I can’t wait to see the programme which will be aired in January, 2024 – Robson Green Weekend Escapes.
