What to expect at Wannies Retreat
What you get while staying at Wannies Retreat is a break like no other - all to yourself! is a beautifully converted railway carriage with plenty of privacy (if you don't count sheep, of course!) and a scenic mountain view.
The Amenties Include...
The carriage has everything you could need for your stay with us. We have 2 ensuite bedrooms with king size beds (that can be split into singles) luxury linen and soft, fluffy towels waiting for you together with our locally sourced soaps, hand cream, lip balm and shampoo bombs. Large walk in showers, heated towel rails and hair dryers all on site. The carriage can sleep up to 5 as we have a fold out bed in the living area (eye masks included as the living area does not have curtains due to the amazing views). Comfy seating area with freeview tv, loads of adult and kids books, usb sockets, indoor games and a fully fitted kitchen.
The kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, grill, 4 hobs, dishwasher, hotel chocolat velvitiser and all of the utensils you could possibly need. Waiting for you is fresh locally sourced milk, coffee, tea, local biscuits and fudge, hot chocolate sachets and a cleaning pack. We also supply dishwasher tablets, toilet roll, salt, pepper, spray oil…
A purpose built dining area is conveniently placed but if you prefer we have plenty of seating outside. Whether it be on the purpose built viewing platform (telescopes and binoculars on site) or on the large picnic table (kids have their own!) and we also provide fold out chairs to place wherever you want.
Outside we also have a bbq with utensils, firepit, secure bike storage, washing machine (with detergent), ironing board and iron, hot and cold water taps and loads of outdoor games. Of course don’t forget the 7 seater hot tub with jets where you can unwind after a day of walking or simply indulge in a glass of your favourite whilst taking in the peace and tranquility during the day or watching shooting stars at night.
